Meet the Farmer
My passion for sustainable living and farming started in my childhood spent on my grandfather's farm in St. Vincent and gardening with my mother in Queens, New York.
As I became more immersed in my demanding career, as the CTO of a tech company, I realized the importance of balancing work with physical and mental health. Seeking a slower, more sustainable lifestyle, I moved to a converted barn in Hudson Valley, NY, and began making room for activities like gardening, cooking, meditation, and spending time in nature.
To share my newfound balanced lifestyle and practices with others, I founded Lagrange Rouge, a physical space and state of being that promotes a more sustainable and mindful way of living.
Through Lagrange Rouge, Chantal hopes to inspire others to find balance in their lives, while creating a more sustainable world.
“The glory of gardening: hands in the dirt, head in the sun, heart with nature. To nurture a garden is to feed not just on the body, but the soul.”
— Alfred Austin
